FIDE is committed with the goals of the National Electric Sector and of the Federal Government, to work in harmony with its policies and directives, through the promotion of programs for saving and efficiency, that reduces costs of electric energy consumption to users.

The potential growth of electric energy saving promoted by FIDE in the country towards 2012, in harmony with CFE and LyFC, is estimated to be between 2.5 to 5 times the result obtained in 2006, due to the existent opportunity for its promotion in industry and commerce.

To achieve this goal, an estimated yearly investment of $4,500 MMP is required, to be used 70% in the industrial sector and 30% for the commercial sector and municipal services.

Consolidate institutional coordination with CFE, SENER, LyFC, CONAE and SUTERM, in order to guarantee fulfillment of the national goals for electric energy saving.

The growth of energy saving allows avoiding investments in electric infrastructure, reducing the costs of subsidies, diminishes consumption among users, utilization of fuels and the emission of pollutants to the environment.
A National Diffusion Campaign that promotes the energetic culture, with participation of all entities involved in the Energy Sector is necessary, so as to reach these goals.

FIDE countersigns with the Electric Sector and with the Nation its commitment for promoting and inducing with actions and concrete results, the saving and efficient use of electric energy, for the benefit of Mexico and of the environment.
