FIDE is committed with saving and efficient use of electric energy for the improvement of the environment, and for this reason shares at a continental level its experiences and values developed for this purpose.

Presently, agreements have been developed with renowned organizations such as: BUNCA Centroamérica, PROCOBRE Latinoamérica, the College of Engineers of Costa Rica (CIMEI) and the Pan-American Confederation of Mechanical Electrical Engineers (COPIMERA).

At a detailed level, requests from Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic are being attended. On an institutional way, a comprehensive technical advise was offered to the Costa Rican Electrical Institute and its filial, the Compañia Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (National Company of Power and Light) on the basis of existing agreements with the CFE.

In this context, FIDE proposes through participation with the national energetic institutions and with the support of international banks, to export the FIDE Mexican model with the aid of national consultants and promote products with the FIDE label, offering a package for improvement with successful results in the short term.
