Up to 2008, FIDE executed 28,377 energy diagnoses, and concluded 4,143 electric energy saving projects, which have generated direct savings of 15,871 GWh in energy consumption and 1,814 MW in power, not considering the daylight savings.

With the above mentioned measures, it was possible to avoid the burning of almost 28.3.million barrels of oil and the emission to the atmosphere of over 10.5 million tons of CO2.

In the Program of Finance for Electric Energy Saving, credits of almost 5,000 million pesos were granted for the application of close to 800 thousand measures of electric energy savings.
